New Government Advice

AS a school are trying to respond to the most recent Government advice regarding the situation we find ourselves dealing with. As a country we are in a critical situation and we must follow the advice that we are being given.

This is the revised Government guidance

– If any member of your family/household is showing any symptoms eg: high temperature or a new dry cough, then the whole family/household MUST self-isolate for 14 days.

– Social distancing is essential, in particular for the vulnerable groups: those over 70’s, individuals with an underlying health condition or those who are pregnant.

As you can imagine this will present us all with challenges, in particular around staffing.

– Non essential travel to be stopped.

Over the course of the next few days we will be attempting to put a plan in place for next week in order to continue to provide an education for your children.

This plan may consist of classes joining together where numbers are lower, cancelling any off site provisions and may mean that your child has a different member of staff teaching them. Please bear with us, this will not be perfect, however we will do our best.

If anyone is self-isolating we ask that you email the school directly on admin@oakfieldlodge.cheshire.sch uk and please keep us informed on your family well-being. We will send work packs home for any self-isolating students.
