Rewards Scheme
The rewards scheme is designed to encourage a safe learning environment for students to work and succeed in.
Students are awarded points in each lesson for being focused on their learning, being where they should be, being respectful, being sensible, being safe.
Rewards are merited and clear to gain they are focused on ‘getting it right’ and never used as a tool for sanction.
Students are awarded tokens that are equal to £1 and can be exchanged in multiples of 10 for a voucher of choice. A message will be sent to parents/carers on the day to celebrate their success.
Tokens will be awarded for the following…
Lesson scores of 3’s and 4’s all day – 1 token
100% attendance each week – 1 token
Uniform on all week – 1 token
Students can earn up to a maximum of £7 a week
Form tutors issue daily tokens based on these scores
Tokens for uniform and attendance will be issued on Friday afternoons during form time
Staff also send postcards home in recognition of excellent work in lessons and reward students with certificates for being outstanding in their subject. This is also accompanied by positive phone calls home.
Raffle tickets are given out each week for acts of kindness or conduct.
The school attendance officer also issues weekly attendance certificates for 100% attendance.
